Lender Loan Modification
Banks, mortgage companies and mortgage servicers are aggressively trying to lower homeowners mortagages any way they can. Lenders are going back to the original custom modifications quite often and doing them better than before. In the past these modifications would take months, or longer to complete, not anymore in a lot of cases. The difference is that lenders are modifying loans a lot more these day in an effort to preserve home ownership, and mitigate losses as much as they can. A part of this can be credited to the slower government mortgage loan modifications that can seem to take a good while to complete, months or longer is some cases. So lenders have evolved and have gotten more creative with their very own custom mortgage loan modifications.
Banks have been stream lining their processes too, and doing things differently from the way they use to do custom mortgage loan modifications. A custom mortgage loan modification is simply a loan modification performed by a mortgage company, a lender, or a mortgage servicer. It is not the government mortgage loan modification that recently became popular, however, there are many similarities. The government modifications take a longer time to complete, they can take several months in most cases. The custom modifications are being completed in as little as 10 business days in most cases once the homeowner submits all of their documents. A homeowner can inquire with their mortgage lenders about their available programs.
These program were designed to help homeowners that would not under normal circumstances qualify for a legitimate government mortgage loan modification. The lender's mortgage loan modification program is more flexible, and modestly easier to get approved for on the average borrower. Lets face it, not every, or even most borrowers will qualify for a government mortgage loan modification under normal circumstances; However, there are things a borrower can do to increase their chances of getting approved.
